PRISONERS OF WAR
More Transfers To Germany
The Prisoners of War Inquiry Office advises that notifications concerning the transfer of another 88 prisoners from’ Italy to Germany have come to hand, leaving a balance of 458 yet to be accounted for. There have been approximately 115 cases where next-of-kin have received a communication from their prisoner relative giving a German prisoner of war camp address before the official advice concerning the transfer has been received, and a certain percentage of these'should be taken from the balance not yet accounted fqr. To avoid the possible loss or delay m delivery of snapshots or' unmounted photographs (wilich must not be larger thqn postcard size) addressed to prison ers of war, it is essential that the name and address of the prisoner concerned and that of the sender be printed clearly on the back.
