SHORTAGE OF BEEF

The opinion that, the present shortage of beef would continue till Hie end of November. or even later, was expressed last night by Mr. 11. C. Bridges, president of tiie Aui-kland Muster Butchers’ Association. In both the North and South islands, he said, fat cattle were not available in sufficient, numbers to ensure adequate beef supplies to butchers, most, of whom were finding it. necessary to introduce voluntary rationing of customers.
