LATE MR. F. ROFFE

There were many present at the funeral service for the lute Air. Frederick Rolfe, secretary and superintendent of tlie Wellington District Free Ambulance, held tn the Taranaki Street Wesleyan Alethodist Church on Saturday morning. The Rev. Ashleigh Fetch conducted the service, .tn the course of which he pnid u tribute to 'the unflagging energy and faithful service which Mr. Roffe had rendered to the humane service of which he was the first superintendent. . The chief mourners were the widow, the two sons, Messrs. IL and L. C. Me, and the daughter, Airs. D. Parsons. Hie iiall-bcarers at. the church were Alessrs. J. W. Jack and J. Biewinan (representing the Free Ambulance Board) and Aiessrs. J. Ireland, K. Smith, W. Lean and F. Geary (representing the staff of the Free Ambulance service). At Karori the bearers were Aiessrs. D. Iritchard and D. Parnell (representing the »ictoria Bowling Club) and Aiessrs. O. Gunderson, S. Garland, IL Snelling and b. ,a 6ther than those mentioned, members of the Free Ambulance Board present included Sir Charles Norwood (founder ot the service). Aiessrs. W. 11.
