WASHINGTON. October 14. Ginger Rogers was the highest-paid screen star in 1941. This is revealed :n the United States Treasury’s list othiga incomes for the year 1941. Ginger Rogers’s income was nearly ±lll,ul/l>. Clark Gable’s income was £61,875. As a member of the United States Army Air Forces, Gable now earns £l2OO a year. Large incomes drawn by other film stars were: Carv Grant, £110.000; Charles Boyer, £109,000; Jeanette McDonald, £93,000; Bing Crosby. £03.000: Gary Cooper, £93,000; Bob Hope, £91,000.
