V ice-Regal. Government House, Wellington, October 13. His Excellency the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Executive Council this morning. This evening his Excellency, attended by Major C. J. Holland-Martin, was present at a tattoo of the Tin Hat Club.
Captain K. Longmore, Wellington, who was a prisoner of war in a camp in the north of Italy, is now reported to_bc in a German prison camp, Stalag 7A, near Moosburg.
Councillors W. J. Gaudin and E. M. Gilmer and the city librarian, Mr. J. Norrie, will represent tlie Wellington City Council at tlie N.Z. Library Association’s conference at Wanganui in February. Councillors W. Appleton and W. J. Gaudin and Ihe tramways’ general manager. Mr. Io B. Hutton, will represent tlie Wellington City Council at the annual .meeting of the Public Passenger Transport Association in Christchurch next month,
