SHAKESPEAREAN ROMANCE
The Wellington Shakespeare , Society held its October meeting at the lurabull 'Library when an abridged reading of the piny “Romeo and Juliet” was given before a large and appreciative audience. Mr. W. O. IJbillips and Mrs. 1. Jeffries were cast for the major parts of Romeo and Juliet, and they held interest throughout the performance. Other parts wer? read as follows:—Chorus, Mr. V. 1. OFrancis ; Escalus, Mr. W. G. Ross ; Paris, Mr. F. C. Pears; Capulet, Mr. H. Ji. von Haast: Mercutin. Mr. D. A. Herbert; Benvolio, Mr. J. E. Farrell; Tybalt, Mr. F. M. Cordcry; Friar Lawrence, Mr. h. C. Feltham: Peter. Mr. J. P. Nicol!; Apothecary. Mr. S. F. McLean ’» Lady Capulet. Miss Lucy Cown; fcurse :o Juliet, Miss Bose Carte. Mrs. J. K. Edie was in charge of the stage directions.
