St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Petone, was the scene of the wedding on September 20 of Violet Lorimer Isobella, only child of Air. and Mrs. A. L. Kuse, Petone, to Sergeant Roy Humphrey AVickett, R.N,.Z.A.F., only child ot Mr. and Mrs. C. C. AVickett,.Te Arolia ine Rev. K. 11. Evans officiated and Axr. Kenny was at the organ. The bride was given away by her father. She wore a charming gown of white satin brocade cut ou classical lines, a long train falling from a shirred point at .lie back. Her circular tulle veil, edged with French lace, was held in place with velvet lilies and' she carried a sheaf of camellias, freezias and daffodils. - She was attended by Misses Alyra ulan and Daisy Shannon, who wore powder blue georgette frocks, their bouquets and the matching sprays in their hair being of scarlet flowers. The best man was Air. H. Sissons, and the groomsman Lieui. D Spiers, R.N.Z.N.R. During the signing of tS register, Air. F Jackson sang “Aly Prayer for Nou and Because. The mothers of the bride and bridegroom received the guests at a recepbon held at the Working Alen s Club hall. The bride’s mother wore a gown ot Dirquoise blue and a shoulder-spray of I uk spring flowers, the bridegroom s muthei wearing a blue gown and a slioulder-spi.iy of pink flowers. The bride. a fawm coat, brown frock, with two. toned matching hat, and brown accessories.
