IN LOWER YANGTZE
Japanese Forced To Retreat CHUNGKING, October 11. The Japanese are maintaining strong pressure against Chinese forces in the lower Yangtze area, but have been forced to retreat or been checked in all sectors, says the United Press. Fighting is still in progress around Kwang-teh.
