INCIDENT IN ROME

Nineteen Men Arrested LONDON, October 11. Rome radio reports that “Communists armed with rifles and hand grenades last night attempted to loot a food depot and a clothing store in Rome. When challenged the “Communists” opened fire and threw grenades. ‘Nineteen men who weie arrested appeared before a military tribunal. Six were sentenced to death, one to life imprisonment, and six were imprisoned for 30 years, one for 24 years, and two for six years.
