Mr. C. J. O’Regan, in making a plea for leniency. said .accused came of a good tamiij, and before coming to Wellington had been a decent girl. She had come into an atmosphere of violent temptation. Her mother was in Court, and was PJfP?™, to take her home, and exercise supervision over her. At counsel s request, accused’s name was suppressed.
