Australian Distillery Co., Ltd., shows profit of £4780 for the year to July JL an increase of £958 compared with previous year. Dividend is raised from 3.8 per cent, to 5 per cent., absorbing £4894. Nearly all the funds of the company are invested in an 8| per cent, interest in* United Distillers Pty. Ltd., which in turn holds all the capital of the operating subsldiaries. Federal Distilleries Ity. Ltd. (fort Melbourne) ami Distillers Corporation Pty. Ltd. (Corio). Profit of £53,011 was earned by United Distillers for the year to February 28, against £58,390 in 1941-42. Decreased profit was due to the reduced dividend from the operating companies. Dividend from Distillers Corporation was £40,000, against £51,000. No dividend was rece vod from Federal this year, compared with £5OOO In 19-12. United dividend Is increased by 1 per cent, to 5 per cent. Federal Distillers reported profit of £7031 for the year to January 31, compared with £11,2<0, and Distillers Corporation £5-1,02b, against £14,810.
