Service Clubs Cater For Hundreds Of Guests The popularity and importance of the off-duty diversions provided for men and women, of the forces « staptf reflected in the mounting attendance totals recorded by Wellington ■ service clubs at the weekend. Singers, lustiumentalists and other volunteer conceit performers found responsive audiences and dances and recreational activities liberally endowed with food and refreshments were fully patronized. Though rarely appearing to be nliert to capacity at any given time, the wilting* room is one of the most heavily utilized hospitality units at every centre which provides one. Enormous outpourm o s letters to friends and families are written regularly by visitors during spare leave hours, and mailing boxes wstalted in hostels and clubs, and cleared daily, invariably carry a solid correspondence quota.
