(Received October 10, 10 p.m.)' LONDON, October 10. An enemy attack against the small Dodecanese island of Symi, mentioned in a Cairo communique on Friday, is the first indication that Allied troops had occupied it. _ n Today’s Middle East Communique reports attack's on enemy shipping, in the Kos area of the Dodecanese. An enemy merchant vessel 1 was hit by a bomb and left smoking. Smoke was also observed coming from the stem of an. escort vessel, which had its speed reduced.
