Cruiser Shropshire Now In
Service (Received October 7, 9.50 p.m.) CANBERRA. October 7. Tlie Shropshire, Britain’s gift to the Royal Australian Navy to replace the lost Canberra, is now in service. Regarded as a valuable addition to Australia’s cruiser strength, she is commanded by Captain Collins who in the Sydney sank tlie powerful Italian cruiser Bartolomeo Colleoni, The Shropshire underwent an extensive refit before joining the Australian Navy.
