President Roosevelt sent felicitations io the American Federation of Labour Convention, expressing gratification at the splendid task performed by the American wage earners in producing war muni; tions, and said that their skill, speed and adaptability had made possible the outfitting and equipment of the military forces in record time. He also praised the workers’ strong support of the warloan.

Mr. Roosevelt said he hoped American labour would do more and more till every necessity had been met, every battle fought, and victory won.
