There are no details of the situation in Kos since the issue of today’s Middle East communique, which says that fighting continues on the island against strong German forces. Berlin radio said that strong formations of bombers and dive-bombers bombed Portoiago, on Leros. The targets were heavily hit. , Unofficial Turkish reports say (bat a vast and almost continuous air battle is going on over the Dodecanese Islands.
