Tokio official radio announced that the Emperor Hirohito has appointed Shozo Murata, supreme adviser of the Japanese military administration in the, Philippines, to be Ambassador Extraordinary to the Philippines. Plans for the independence of the Philippines arc proceeding smoothly and speedily, added the radio. Jose Laurel, the President-elect, and other members of the Free Philippines Government, which is to be created, are visiting Tokio for conferences.
