Young Men Admit Series Of Offences A series of cases of breaking -and entering business premises in Wellington had its sequel in the Magistrates Court, vVellingtou, yesterday, when five young men appeared before Air. Stout, S.M., pleaded guilty to a . long list of offences, and were committed to the bupreme Court for sentence. They were Stanley Lawrence Hawkins, farm hand 19, John Albert Duncan, labourer, 20, Patrick Gerald Pointon, labourer, 19, Godfrey bent, carpenter, 20, and Norman John Pearce, soldier and farm hand, 20. Though the offences were numerous, the value ot the property stolen was not great. Hawkins pleaded guilty to four charges, Duncan, Hawkins and Pointon to two joint offences, Pointon and Duncan to one joint offence, Duncan, Whent and Pearce to seven joint offences, and Duncan and Whent to oue_ joint offence. Duncan also pleaded guilty to two summary charges of theft and two of . conversion of cars, and jointly with Pointon pleaded guilty to another charge of conversion. Pearce pleaded guilty to three summary charges of theft. Accused were remanded for sentence on these charges till they had been dealt with in the bupreme Court.
