KENNY METHODS IN SOUTH AMERICA
MINNEAPOLIS, August 31. The Exchange Clubs of the twin cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, have conferred an income of 3000 dollars a year for life on Miss Mary Stewart Kenny, Sister Elizabeth Kenny’s ward, “for promoting good neighbourly relations between the Argentine and the United States.” Miss Mary Kenny recently has been teaching the Kenny methods for treating infantile paralysis in the Argentine and other South American republics. The Argentine will establish an Elizabeth Kenny Institute at Buenos Aires for Spanish-speaking people, while Brazil will establish an institute at Rio de Janeiro for Portuguese-speaking people.
A Svdnev message savs that Mr. .1. T. Lang 'regained the Auburn seat in the State by-election on Saturday, defeating the official Labour candidate by a large majority Mr. Lang resigned the Auburn seat in the State Parliament to stand for Reid in the Federal election., in which he was unsuccessful.
