President Rosevelt has promoted, to permanent Major-Generals or BribadierGenerals a number of United States officers who were temporary LieutenantGenerals or Major-Generals, but who are actually holding far lower commissions in the regular army. The new Major-Generals are Major-Generals Patton. Wainwright. Stilwell, Somervell and MeNaruey. The Brigadier-Generals are Brigadier-Generals Kennedy, Spaatz, Hnrrinm, Mark Clark. Eichelberger.
