Permission givefi Iby the State Government to remove (boards and netting covcing the windows of shops and business premises as a precaution against air raids has been countermanded by the Federal Defence Committee. The 'Minister of Home Security, Mr. Lazzarini, said he must be guided by the ruling of the Chiefs of the Navy, Army and Air Force that the time was not yet ripe for Sydney to strip itself of air-raid protection. Though the strategical position had improved, the possibility of marauding attacks was still present.
