Men, women and children numbering between 30,000,000 and 40,000,000 have been torn from their native soil in fulfilment of Nazi policy, states the International Labour Office. A study of the displacement of European populations shows that (j,a00,000 foreign workers have been compulsorily transferred to Germany. Twelve million people have been evacuated from European Russia. Ten million Germans have been evacuated from the bombed cities and the coastal defence areas.
