PHOSPHORUS ON CROPS
(Received September 29, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON, September 28.
A Government leaflet warns farmers that German planes have begun dropping oil and phosphorus bombs on agricultural land. The leaflet says that affected areas must be kept wet' till the phosphorus is removed and that crops which have been splashed are poisonous and should be destroyed.
