LORIENT BOMBED

Fifth Raid In Fortnight LONDON, January 27. The R.A.F. last night raided Lorient, tlie Gernniii U-boat, base on lite northern coast of the Bay of Biscay, for the fifth time in a fortnight. An Air Ministry communique stated that squadrons of United Nations fighters mid bombers made trips over northern France and Belgium yesterday afternoon. In one of these sweeps Venturas, without, loss, bombed railway targets al Bruges. Three enemy fighters were destroyed in combat, and four R.A.F. fighters are missing from the day's operations.
