Service Clubs Busy
Service clubs in Wellington were crowded yesterday as a result of the wet weather. The line day that was hoped lot did not eventuate and plans lor uutin„s to beaeb or country had to be cancelled. Instead, dancing was enjoyed Irom earlj in the afternoon, with items us welcome interludes. At teatime home-made cakes, scones am! savouries, luge her with ,an wiches, were served., while some dubs served more substantial fare, such as bam ami salads. . , . ... , More and more servicemen ot the Allieu Forces are finding their way to city service clubs where they are ‘7 B,lretl warm welcome Irom a friendly gatliein s of young people. All the dunces »»<! entertainments arranged by the diffcrcut clubs over tlie weekend were lully patronized. voluntary artists providing the concerts.
