CANADIAN STEEL PLANTS IDLE
I Received .Inniiarv 21. 7 p.m.l OTTAWA, January 20. Tlie Canadian Press Association says that prospects arc dim today for a settlement of the steel strike which lias f ied up Canada’s largest: steel plants. The United Steelworkers of America have notified the Governinent that the workers tire unlikely to accept its settlement plan.
Ono union official at Suult Sninto Marie said "We will go back when we got. what we asked for —55 cents an boar, plus full eost of living bonus. We have also demanded tli.'il it be made retrospective to last Marcli."
