STRIKING U.S. MINERS

NEW YORK. January 18.

Fifteen thousand Pennsylvania miners defied a second demand by the War Labour Board that they should return to work, and voted to continue the 19-day-old anthracite eoal mine strike. Members of the board said that the matter would bo referred to President Roosevelt for direction and action, possibly the Government seizure of the mines.
