Mayor’s Comment On Order (By TeJegrapli.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 6. . “We regard obedience to the law as essential and to maintain this we must at times pay the price of obeying arbitrary, irksome and unnecessary regulations,” said the mayor, Mr. Andrews, commenting today on an order issued by the Minister of Civil Defence that continuous fire-watching must be begun in Christchurch. "The Minister has taken it out of my hands to abrogate my instructions. Therefore, on the Minister and the Government is the responsibility.” __
