85,000 Garments Knitted Some 24,0361 b. of wool have been knitted up into more than 85,000 garments, and distributed to the stations states the first report of Air 1< oree Delations, Wellington. Cases of tinned toods and butter have been sent to tingland, and letters of thanks have been, received from Air Force Comforts in Lon<lon - , , „ Air Force Kelations ’has played a large part on many stations, and in several towns in the staffing of canteens and service clubs, says the report. There are now branches of Air Force Kelations at nearly all K.X.ZA.F. stations, as well as 17 in towns, and there are 20 knitting circles, mostly m country districts. ILeports tell of a splendid record of work. However, more knitters are still needed. Air Force Beiations in Wellington has appealed for women to come forward and knit twice as hard to take the place of the younger women who are uoing war work. Supplies must be-kept up and reserve stocks built up for the winter months. More, not less, knitting, must be the slogan for the summer month*.
