Generous gifts for patriotic purposes were made during the year, without allowing the work of the nursery to be neglected. Gifts for November were: £lO to the Bed Cross, £lO to the Metropolitan Patriotic Society, £lO to the Merchant Naw, £5 to the Makogai leper station, £u to the U.S.A., and £5 to the Dree Ambulance. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. 11. Dunn; secretary, Mrs. V. Alien; treasurer, Mrs. A. Maxwell; vice-presidents, Mesdames Bradley, Garder am! Grant. The retiring committee was returned. The president entertained those present at afternoon tea.
