Semi-Final Gallops Dominion Special Service. HASTINGS, November 5. Tho' semi-final gallops for horses racing at Napier Park this 'Saturday, saw Cheddingtou, Centrepoise, Enthrall, Gay Genet, Sliver Bali, Loch. Moigh, .Dark Bloom, and Klnconda registering the best times over their respective distances. The going Was good, but times were not fast. Gay Falcon, who has fully recovered from the bleeding which prevented her go, lug to Otakl, sprinted smartly over three' in 37. Virtuoso (Verineer-Rosa Latour) and La Serena were under restraint in recording 39. Poutatau, working most impressively, recorded 501, time that Lastik equalled When' running away from Roeon, who, has temporarily lost form. Ex Pupil, showing an improvement, was clear of Prairie in 50L Other half-miles were: Opaltown, 53}; Black Majesty '(who will not race till the second meeting), 52}; Nightward (not himself), 54; Caresses and Black Sultan, 51; Monmouth (nicely). 3T. The fastest five was registered by Loch Moigh. and Silver Ball, who returned Gt), both finishing strongly. Other times were: Regal Night (against the bit), and Princess. There were one or two fair efforts over six furlongs, the main being set by Enthrall, who, alone, recorded 1.161. Iler recent: track-work has been impressive. Gay Genet, going very impressively, was three lengths clear of Tawhainui, in 1.17: Prairie Girl, alone, did 1.171, the first three in under 36. Condole, who lias furnished into a finennare, but is still carrying too'much condition, broke 1.18 for six. She is now owned by the Wellington sportsman, Mr. H. J. S.tanbrldge. Other six furlong gallops:—Katesbridge (last of a mile), 1.21; Larabourn (still muscle sore), and Royal Melton. ■ 1.214; Peter’s Wife; - Glanfalloch and Khurja, in that order. 1.18$: Hunting Cat and Lenardo (working gallop), 1.26. The only seven furlong gallop was when Greek Dancer shaded The Monarch in 1.34}. However, the latter finished the stronger. An Interesting mile effort was recorded bv Cheddingtou and Centrepoise in 1.44, the first half in 51. They finished nbreast, both going strongly. Over the same course alone, Gaie Duchess took 1.46. Gayest Son, a dilatory truck worker, accounted for Klnkajou, who has completely lost form, over a mile in 1.49}. Bonnie Scot and Khurja negotiated , a few hurdles brilliantly.
