Gordon Anderson Memorial

As the result of a request that money be sent to the Wellington branch of the British Sailors’ Society in place _of wreaths following the death of its first vice-president, Mr. E. Gordon Anderson, £l2O was received. The hoard of the society has decided that this money be placed in a separate fund for the purpose of acquiring better premises tor the work amongst the seamen and be ilamed the “Anderson Memorial Fund.” The president, Mr. D. C._ Morpeth, at the Hist board meeting, said that ; Air. Anderson played a leading, part in reviving the work some years ago and had oil. many occasions liberally contributed to the funds of the society in his own quiet way. He always took a keen interest in the work for the seamen and the Anderson family frequently entertained the men iu their own home.
