News And Notes Music Played By Guests. Large numbers of guests were entertained last weekend at Webbys Club, On Saturday excellent music, novelty items, and home-made suppers were featured. The ballroom was crowded on Sunday night when large numbers danced to music provided by army guests who were present and also a representative of tin* Navy. Sunday teas and suppers are tin* effort of the committee and girls and guests were appreciative of the tare prepared. Th rough the courtesy of Miss Kathleen O'Connor activities will be carried on at her studio, directly opposite the club, which is below Janies Smiths. Final Bridge Afternoon. Mrs. 1). Taylor, Clyde Street. Island Bay, held the last of her bridge afternoons in aid of the Residential Nursery recently. These have been well attended during the winter months and u most satisfactory amount has been raised for the Berhampore branch of the nursery. Winners for the season were Mesdames J. McKenzie. W. Klint and L Lyons. Johnsonville Branch Meeting. The Johnsonville branch of the League of Mothers met. recently, Mrs. IL Hogg presiding. Mrs. Hogg welcomed Miss Porter, who spoke on occupational therapy and gave members an idea ol Hie work' being done in this direction in ibe hospitals. Mrs. Dunbar Sloane thanked Miss I’orter for her address and she was presented with a posy. An induction service was held, eight new members be- | ing admitted. The glee singers gave items.
