Victoria League Members

With another year drawing to a elose, various organizations will probably conclude activities for the season shortly. 'L’he Victoria League in Wellington held one of its several “final” events for when the last monthly luncheon took place in the league rooms yesterday. Other concluding gatherings in connexion with the league’s activities have been planned for later on. , There was a full attendance and new members were welcomed by Mrs, J. A. Doctor, president, who read extracts ot letters from the London league. Mrs. TV. Burton was hostess. Tall spikes of mauve lupins and yellow laburnum. decorated the room, there being a. mixed bowl of eaHy summer flowers for the main table and cream roses on the smaller tables. A savoury buffet meal was served.
