Applications far in excess of tyres .available have been received by the Cycle Tyro and Tube Control Committee in Christchurch. Tlie ehairman of tlie committee, Mr. 8. Sapsford, said npplieations approved during October iiad already absorbed the whole of tlie allocation for November. “Until tlie position improves),” lie said, “it appears imperative that only applications for tyres and tubes from those people iu essential work who cannot reach their cmpioyment by any other means must be considered.”
