AUSTRALIAN DIRECTOR OF SHIPPING
(Received October 30, 7 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 30. ■Sir Thomas Gordon, representative in Australia of the British Ministry of Shipping, has been appointed Director of Shipping in Australia.' In announcing the appointment, the Australian Minister of Shipping, Mr. Beasley, said that Sir Thomas’s advice and experience would be most valuable to the Government in all the preparatory work of co-ordinating all the activities connected with shipping.
