AIR RENDEZVOUS ENDS
IN TRAGEDY Bomber Fouls Airliner (Received October 30, 7 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, October 29. A Congressional committee blamed a collision between an army bomber and an airliner in which 12 were killed on to an air rendezvous previously arranged between tlie pilot of die bomber mid Hie co-pilot of Hie airliner. The committee, in a statement, said that tlie pilots met at n party on tlie preceding night and arranged for Hie bomber pilot to time his lake-off to coincide with tlie airliner's, so that tlie planes would meet in Sun Gregorio Puss. When tlie meeting occurred, the bomber pilot wigwagged his wiflgs, went ahead and crossed too close to tlie airliner. Tlie bomber pilot will be court-martialled on a charge of manslaughter.
