GISBORNE ABERDEEN ANGUS
The seventh annual sale of two-year-old bulls by the Gisborne Combined Breeders saw catalogued SO bulls. Several of these were not offered and there were a few odd passings, liut there was an overall solid demand at prices in excess of those of last year. Only an odd bull made less than 30 guineas. A most notable vendor was the Te Ituanui stud, account Charles Matthews, which sold 18 bulls to uverage 51 guineas. It is noted that 15 of these were sired by Qualatum 15th of Tautane, and these averaged 52 1-3 guineas, with six of their number selling at from GO to 71 guineas. The Opuo stud, account W. Clark, sold eight bulls to average 38J guineas with a top price of 50 guineas, and the Waitaria stud, account G. V. Smith, sold four top bulls to average 40 guineas with a top price of 50 guineas. Only bulls making 30 guineas and upwards are included in the above figures.
