AXIS TANKS DAMAGED
Minor Desert Clashes LONDON, October 29. Today’s Cairo communique reports: “During Tuesday night an enemy coun-ter-attack against our positions was beaten off. Yesterday there were some minor tank . in which damage was inflicted on the enemy. Fighting continues.” All day and night air attacks on enemy landing grounds and forward bases continued, the communique adds. The enemy remained on the defensive throughout yesterday. Long-range bombers attacked targets in Crete.
