College Championships

The 15th annual sports meeting of Rongotai College was held under favourable weather conditions on the Killnrnie Recreation Ground yesterday. Among those present wore 'Messrs. W. H. Denton, and W. Dyer, chairman of the Wellington Education Board, both of whom are members of the board of governors. Mr. and Mrs. IV. I. Deavoll. Mr. and Mrs. Patrick and Mrs. Savage. .The senior high jump record, which was set at a height of sfl. Sin. by U. G. Lauclilan in 1930. was broken by R. C. Woolley with a height of sft. ."Jin. The senior championship nnd Huntington Cup was won bv Colqulioun and Denton, each of whom gained 13 points, 'I lie runnerun was T. 11. Benjamin, who gained 6 points. The junior championship and Cocks Cup was won by McCabe, who gained 12 points. The runner-up in tins event was N. Gray, who gained 11 points. The Scottish harriers and A.A. club's cup for the mile championship and crosscountry was won by D. K. McLeod and the junior cup for the junior mile championship and cross-country was won by G. It.
