Estates of a value of £5.15,083 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during September. The total value of the estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee at March 31, 1942, was £64,685,685, and the new business for the six months ended September 30 was £3,451,672. In September, 252 grants of administration were made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee. During the month 872 uew wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were prepared on behalf of testators and lodged for safe custody, and 40!) existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now held in the Public Trust Office on behalf of living persons is 118,474.
