Meat Board Advice To Farmers Both in the interests of farmers themselves and of the nation, the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board seeks to impress on. farmers the necessity of delivering their lambs, particularly early lambs, to the freezing works as soon as possible. It is expected that this season there will again be heavy production of meat for export, and the delivery of stock to the works when it is ready for slaughter will, the board states, greatly reduce risk of congestion. disorganization and disappointment. The importance of farmers marketing their lambs as quickly as possible follows from Hie importance of filling all shipping space offering nt. the beginning of the season, combined with anticipated dimculties in the transport of stock to the works, and the restricted amount of labour at the works, the board says.
