Anderson, secretary of the Auckland Employers’ Association, arrived at 'Wellington yesterday. Mr. A. E. Robinson, provincial secretary of the Auckland Farmers’ Union, arrived at Wellington yesterday. Mr. J. T. Martin, managing director of Wright, Stephenson, Ltd., has returned to 'Wellington from a brief visit to Auckland. Mr. S. H. Craig, generalnianager of Paramount. Films, Ltd., has been elected president of the Film Exchanges Association of N.Z. for the fifth term in succession. Mr. Eric H. Rhodes has been appointed a director of the New Zealand Insurance Company, Limited, to fill the vacancy on the board caused by the death of Mr. C. V. Houghton. Messrs. T. L. Seddon (mayor of Feiiding), J. W. Card (mayor of Featherston), W. R. Brown (Wanganui), and P. W. Goldsmith (Levin), visited Wellington yesterday to attend a meeting of the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council. Messrs. W. W. Duff, general manager of R.K.O. Radio Pictures Pty.. Ltd., and W. A. Hislop, general manager of Universal Pictures Pty., Ltd., have been elected vice-presidents of the Film Exchanges Association of N.Z. Mr. Richard Waine Gibbs, director of the Bank of New Zealand, as representing shareholders of the bank, has been automatically re-elected. Under the Bank of New Zealand Act, 1920, if an ordinary vacancy occurs on the board notice of candidature has to be given not later than September 30. No such notice, it Is understood, having been received, Mr. Gibbs, whose term expires on March 3.1 next, is therefore re-elected for a term of three years, as from March 31,19-13.
