PLASTIC SURGERY

Unit For Soldier Patients At Burwood Hospital (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 28. A plastic surgical unit for soldier patients is to be established at Burwood Auxiliary Hospital at the request of the Director-General of Medical Services, according to a decision reached by the North Canterbury Hospital Board today. While primarily for soldier patients, the clinic will also treat selected civilian patients, first from Canterbury and secondly from other districts. The unit will comprise 36 beds and will be under the control of Major J. J. Brownlee. It was stated that there would soon be 60 to 70 soldier patients awaiting treatment.
