Sharland & Co. Dividend Sharland and Co.. Ltd., have declared a final dividend of 2} per cent, together with a bonus of 2 per cent, on all shares, making a total distribution of 7 per cc; t.. an unchanged rate. Transfer books will be closed from October 29 to November 11, inclusive. The annual meeting a\ul be held on November 12. Gold Mining The Gillespie’s Beach dredge returned 240 z. 2dwt. for 131 hours from 10,800 yards. Snowy River Profit Snowy Biver Gold Dredging, Ltd., reports a profit of £31,445.f0r the year ti .June 30. after providing lor taxation and depreciation, compared with protit ot £9213 in JO4O-H. Tills is the first year in which dredging operations have been carried out for the full period. A total ot 7018 ounces of gold was recovered, ironi 1,081,208 yards treated. Four dividends each of Cd. a share were paid during the year. Metal Quotations Reeent metal quotations in London were: Silver, standard, spot and forward, 1/ni (unchanged); tine, spot and torward, 2/1 3-8 an ounce (unchanged), m New York on October 3 tin, standard, was quoted at .52 cents, unchanged. Electro Zinc Shares Electrolytic Zihc Company advise that it was intended that the new issue shares should rank .pari passu with the old issue ordinary shares for the dividend payable on December US. However, owing to complications arising from recent Commonwealth legislation dealing with tax concessions in the case of base metal companies, it was desirable to continue to issue distinctive scrip for the new issue shares.
