THEFT FROM EMPLOYERS
Salesman Admitted To Probation
Ernest Keyvar, who had been found guilty by a jury on four charges of theft from his employers, Electric Refrigeration (N.Z.), Limited, was admitted to probation for three years by Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court, Wellington, yesterday. His Honour made a special condition that Keyvar should make restitution of the moneys he had stolen, £B/11/-, within one month, and that he pay the costs of the prosecution, £65 10/8, in such instalments as the probation officer may fix. Mr. AV. J. Stacey, in appealing for probation, said that Keyvar had borne a good character since 1032, ami his lapse could only be attributed to sudden temptation. His Honour remarked that accused’s operations had been systematic.
