Cabbages today were going away from Pukekohe at 11/- a chapman bag to a strong demand.J l '®? have risen a shilling a bag since the beginning ot last week. Cauliflowersi are still 12/- a chapman bag, swedes 1-/- a cwt. and carrots and parsnips 21/- a cwt., hut the Quotations for root vegetables are little more than nominal because of the scarcity of supplies.
Gold Mining The report on the operations of Mount Morgan, l-til., for the four weeks ended September 23, shows a.working surplus tor the period of £12.000, gold being■ takei; at SAO/11/- an ounce, copper at.CAOO n ton, and silver at A2/- an ounce.
