HALLOWE’EN PARTY

Hard Of Hearing League Pumpkin faces, witches on broomsticks, coconuts with green eyes, and black cats, were the time-honoured decorations used in the hallowe en given by the New Zealand League for the Hard of Hearing, in Wellington las night in the league rooms. Members and friends watched a puppet show given by Mrs. J. Gilbert, lip-reading teacher,, and took part in games and competitions. Later Mrs. Gilbert gave an elocutionary item, and supper was served. The event was arranged by the social committee. Mr. S. Mansfield, the president, and Mrs. Mansfield, were among those present. The group hearing aid was used throughout the evening.
