INSTALLED WITHOUT PERMIT

Milking Machine Firm Admits , Breach Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, October 26. Charges of selling and installing a milking machine without a permit were admitted bv the Gaue Milking Machine Co, Ltd., before Mr. Freeman, S.M., in Hamilton. The case was brought under the recent control regulations imposed to conserve rubber and was tlie first of its kind heard. Mr Seymour said a permit had been obtained for a three-cow plant, but due to a misunderstanding a four-cow plant was sold and installed. After hearing Mr. Fitz Gerald, who prosecuted, the magistrate said he wanted to be sure whether the breaches were accidental or deliberate, and deferred the imposition of a penalty for a fortnight in order to hear further evidence.
