Dominion Special Service. CHRISTCHURCH, Octobdf 23. The Makogai Lepers (N.Z.) Trust Board announces that in pursuance of its extension policy and because there is no central leper station iu the Solomon Islands it has allocated £250 eaeli to all five religious bodies doing medical and leper work in the British Solomons Protectorate. The authorities concerned have given ■ an undertaking to use the money for leper work only and not for religious purposes. The major grant of £5OOO is being held in trust by Sir Phillip Mitchell, High Commissioner for the Western Pacific, for leper work after the war. In addition £3OOO has been allotted for leper work in the Cook and Samoan groups.
